CREOLE COOKING CLASS

Keywords: Gastronomy, Creole, Cooking Techniques, Culture, History

Combining the exotic flavors of spices from India and China, the cooking methods of the French and the food preservation techniques of Eastern Africa, the Creole Cuisine of Seychelles is truly a melting pot of different cultures.

The surrounding waters of the Indian Ocean provide the islands with an abundance of fish and seafood which are staple to the local cuisine, along with fruits and vegetables from local farms and gardens. Essential ingredients and spices such as coconut, cinnamon, nutmeg or lemongrass are found growing naturally in the pristine inland forests and are used to infuse the dishes with a unique blend of flavors.

Experience one of our weekly cooking classes in a friendly and fun atmosphere. Our chef will guide you on the tips and tricks of Creole cuisine while providing insights into its rich history and its importance to the local community.  After the cooking class, you'll get to enjoy the dishes you've prepared with the company of fellow food enthusiasts, creating an memorable culinary experience.
